November + Letting Go

In November, as we look to nature we witness the art of letting go:

  • Trees let go of the energy it takes to maintain the leaves to conserve energy for the winter

  • Leaves let go of their color and let go of the branches

  • The sun lets the light go allowing time for darkness

Take this month to consider where you can give yourself permission to let go

  • it can be people, places, and/or things

  • examples: an unhealthy habit, a draining person in your life, negative self talk, perfectionism, old outfits you no longer wear, etc.

  • use your imagination to feel the art of letting go as natural, expected, and even fun if you are more mindful about it

But Meg, Letting go is uncomfortable…

No shit, but so is holding on to what no longer serves you, year after year, and resisting change. Would you rather feel some discomfort and evolve or feel discomfort and stay stagnant?

Nature gives you the courage to follow her lead and trust that letting go is an act of self care. The art of letting go helps you shed as you grow, and thus make space for new possibilities.

ALIGN YOUR ENERGY WITH Letting Go

Enjoy this 10 minute guided meditation inspired by our November theme: LETTING GO.

Use the power of a gorgeous beach walk to let go of what no longer serves you, beginning with your negative thinking, and watch it ripple beautifully into all facets of your life.

Love, Meg

November Journal Prompts

  • What have you let go in the past that in retrospect was for the best, though it felt devastating at the time?

Having evidence of the effects of letting go, can help you embrace instead of fear this process.

  • Dream about the joy and ease you will feel with letting go of what no longer serves you.

You can get lost in what you lose and not realize what you gain.

  • Write a list of people (past or present) that you would like to let go of their energy.

Finish with a declaration written and said out loud for each person:

    “_____, I release your energy.”
